Stop navigating student concerns alone. This session demystifies the SRT process and its role within the MTSS framework, providing elementary teachers with a clear roadmap for behavior, SEL, and attendance challenges. Using the division SRT flowchart, participants will identify actionable Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports and learn to collect data that drives real solutions. Gain clarity on who to go to for help and how to leverage division resources effectively. Turn paperwork into progress with solution-based problem-solving that supports the whole child.

This session will show you how to use AI tools like ChatGPT as your personal teaching assistant and creative partner, with strategies applicable to any grade level or content area. Discover how to brainstorm ideas, create classroom materials, and simplify your workload. Whether you're planning lessons, differentiating for students, or writing emails, AI can help you work more efficiently—while staying creative and in control. We’ve all sat through meetings that feel like administrative checklists, but the most effective Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are those that transform raw data into a shared roadmap for student success. In this session, we will strip away the jargon and focus on the practical habits that turn collaborative planning into measurable classroom growth. Drawing from our own experience as English 11 teachers—we’ll explore how to move past "what we are teaching" to "how they are learning."
Grades 2 - 5: Beginner friendly! Learn how to use small teaching computers called Micro:Bits (most schools have a class set) and 100s of ready-to-go projects on the user friendly Microsoft Make Code platform. We will break down the vocabulary of the CS Algorithms and Programming strand and apply it to a pseudocode (planning document) before building the code and downloading it to the Micro:Bit. Give your Micro:Bit the coded input and watch it come to life! Participants will leave with several turnkey Micro:Bit lessons for grade levels 2-5 created by the presenter.
In this session, participants will learn how students can engage in content topics through video game coding, decoding, and debugging. Participants will get a first hand look at games students have coding for topics like Jamestown, food chains, and more! We will review the basics of block coding and explore how students of various levels can engage in this platform. Participants will get the chance to create their own themed games and will learn how to download the game onto a gaming console using micro:bit.
