We are strengthening our curriculum and instructional supports through the use of evidence-based assessment practices, so we can promote student success and develop future-ready students.
This interactive session focuses on enhanced collaboration across the various roles that support BIST implementation and success. Through case-study simulations, teams will practice collaborative problem-solving, learning how to leverage each other's unique strengths to navigate even the most complex behavioral challenges on the BIST continuum.
This session is limited to those working at BIST elementary schools Thalia, Woodstock, White Oaks, Parkway, Diamond Springs, Newtown, Bettie F. Williams and Point ‘O View.
In this interactive professional learning session, educators will explore how the eight Mathematical Language Routines (MLRs) bring Illustrative Mathematics® lessons to life through student sense-making, language, and discourse. Participants will connect IM design principles to purposeful discussion and plan for productive student conversations using the MLRs while highlighting strategies that support multilingual learners and strengthen learning for all students. Educators will also get hands-on with the Kiddom platform, exploring IM teacher resources and activities that make mathematical language accessible, inclusive, and rigorous.
