How does the traditional "Studio Habits of Mind" evolve in a world of digital arts and education? This session explores the intersection of the visual arts creative process and emerging digital tools and traditional materials.
Using the power of inclusion, the Visual Fine Arts Program piloted a unique opportunity for students with and without disabilities to come together in an inclusive environment, engaging in meaningful artmaking through a high-quality arts education program. In the right setting, students can grow as artists with opportunities that foster self-awareness and understanding of the world around them. With the proper support and peer mentors in place, students are given the freedom to express themselves uniquely through art. Join our session if you are interested in learning more about the program.
This session aims to help art teachers improve their advocacy and communication skills by strategically tailoring messages for various audiences, supporting Compass to 2030 priorities of doing great work together, valuing differences, and ensuring the visual arts remain visible, understood, and supported in service of student success.
