In this interactive professional learning session, educators will explore how the eight Mathematical Language Routines (MLRs) bring Illustrative Mathematics® lessons to life through student sense-making, language, and discourse. Participants will connect IM design
principles to purposeful discussion and plan for productive student conversations using the MLRs while highlighting strategies that support multilingual learners and strengthen learning for all students. Educators will also get hands-on with the Kiddom platform, exploring IM teacher resources and activities that make mathematical language accessible, inclusive, and rigorous.
